This DT175Mx nicknamed " Patriot " after its red, white and blue colour scheme has IT175f front shocks fitted with air caps and high rise xt600 front fender, the original tank was cut horizontally from the rear end to the front seam. The top then was pulled up until the top surface was horizontal too. A wedge shaped piece of sheet metal was then welded in place to make the new shaped tank. This mod virtually doubled the fuel capacity!.
The seat was from a late model DT18L version as was the modified pipe, the engine was ported by George of K.G.B.Motorcycles. This bike could wheelie in any gear and climbed mountains along side Bultaco 350 Alpina's on a regular basis.

The lady holding the trophy is the owners mother who did not want her son on a bike, thanks to the trophy for the first seasons outings all that it seems has changed!
